Night Section 5

Now that the book is progressing, we see what the conditions were like during winter in the camps. The prisoners only get slightly thicker clothing and that's it. I hate how disrespectful the Nazis are to the prisoners. But, luckily, Elie got a Jewish doctor to treat his foot! If the doctor had been a Nazi, he probably wouldn't have kept his leg... Once again, this story is just a horrible testament to how evil humans can be.

I'm suprised with as much the Nazis hated the that they even gave them slightly thicker clothes. I agree that Elie was lucky to get a Jewish doctor to treat his foot. I wonder what happened to the person next to him in the hospital who told him to get out while he can.

I am also suprised that they got thicker clothes too. Being so cure and then they just give them thicker clothes. It doesnt make much sense.

I agree that if elie would of gotten a german doctor that he would have lost his foot. Luckly he got a Jewish one and it was only an infection. Also i was suprised that they gave them thicker clothes for the winter after how mean the germans have been treating them.

I don't really understand why they had doctors or anything if they wanted all the Jews dead anyways. And i don't get why the doctors would be Jewish if they are trying to kill Jews. He was pretty lucky to get a Jewish doctor.
